How to install/configure my modem (External/Internal).

For external modem:
Physically connect your modem to your computer accordingly (check your modem cable, adapter connection) then turn ON it.

Double click on my computer.

Double click on Control Panel.

Double click on Modems.

Click on Add then it will be automatically detect your modem.

Click on Next.. it will ask for modem driver. Select your modem driver location (i.e. CD/Floppy/other location)

Click on Next.. then Finish.

For Internal Modem:

Physically fix your modem to your computer carefully When you start ON your computer it will show new hardware found or double click on my computer --->control panel --->add.
Click on next
It will ask for modem driver. Select your modem driver location (i.e. CD/floppy/other)

Click Next then finish

To confirm your modem (internal/external) is installed properly:

Click on diagnostic

Select the particular port (com1, com2, com3)

Click on More Info

If you get a list of Port information it is ok

Click on ok

If you get port already open" or any other information then installation is not correct.
