My modem is not responding (Port already Open)?
When the modem is not installed properly then we get this message. We have to check up the following things.
1) Make sure your Modem is turned on before starting the computer.
2) The modem is connected to computer properly.
3) Modem driver is not installed correctly...Then remove the installed modem and install it again.
4) For external modem we can try installing standard modem.
5) But for internal modem we need the modem driver accordingly. Above all we can just change the slot. Also we have check if any IRQ conflict with another device (specially VGA, Sound card).
6) Finally if we although cannot diagnostic then we need to contact vendor. |
